A financial support scheme has been unveiled to compensate households residing in close proximity to newly upgraded electricity pylons. Under the initiative, qualifying residents will receive an annual deduction of £250 from their electricity bills.
To be eligible for this benefit, a property must be situated within a 1,600-foot radius of the enhanced transmission infrastructure. The first set of specific sites eligible for these payments has now been officially confirmed.
